4 checked · 2 can take it · 2 blocked by the rules — you choose who gets the offer.
Built for how hospitality actually runs.
RSA expiry checked at venues that need it
Each staff member’s RSA number and expiry are recorded. At a venue that requires one, a missing or expired RSA blocks the booking — a check of the dates you record, not of any register.
Late call-offs covered from the phone
Post the shift as an open shift and the first staff member allowed to work it claims it — or offer it one person at a time, every offer before the doors open.
Evening and late-night rates
Weekday evening and night rates are a company switch, priced for the hours in each band; Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are priced on their own.
Many venues, one roster
Every venue on one roster, with staff already working elsewhere that night caught before they are booked twice.
Rest between a close and an open
SysGuard checks the rest between a late close and an early open before the second shift is booked — as a warning or a block, your choice.
Casuals set their own week
Casual staff set the days and times they can usually work, and their time off, from their phone — rostering outside it is flagged.
AI that does the admin. People make the decisions.
It understands what you say, reads what comes back and answers what you ask. It never decides who works, what anyone is paid or what a client is billed.
- AI understands what you say about the roster
Tell it what happened. It finds the shift.
Type it or say it. The AI works out which shift you mean and shows you what it understood first. The rules check who may cover it — you choose who gets the offer.

Late nights and weekends, priced the way you set them.
- Pay rates by staff member, venue or role; charge rates by venue, client or role.
- Weekday evening and night bands, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays — each at the rate you set.
- A shift past midnight is split and priced by day.
- Venue invoices in six designs and pay-run files for Xero and MYOB, from the same approved hours.
- The rates are yours to set; SysGuard does not decide award entitlements or penalty rates for you.
What hospitality operators ask first.
Is SysGuard a POS, bookings or venue management system?
No. SysGuard rosters your staff, records the hours they work, pays them and bills for those hours. Sales, bookings and stock stay in your venue systems.
Does SysGuard check staff RSAs?
It checks the RSA expiry you record, not any liquor authority’s register. For a hospitality company the RSA is the credential SysGuard checks by default: at venues you mark as requiring one, a missing or expired RSA blocks the booking on the roster, in an offer and through an open shift.
Can staff pick up extra shifts from their phone?
Yes. An open shift appears on the phones of the staff allowed to work it — not those blocked at that venue — and the first claim wins.
Does SysGuard pay evening and late-night penalty rates?
It applies the evening and night rates you set — a company switch — along with weekend and public holiday rates. It doesn’t work out award penalty rates for you.
Can I see what each venue costs in staff hours?
Yes. Ask in plain words — hours or billing by venue, last weekend or last month — and the answer comes from the same records as the pay runs and invoices.
What happens when a late close is followed by an early open?
SysGuard checks the rest between the two shifts before the second is booked. Whether too little rest is a warning or a block is your setting.
